Phpstorm Row Column Width

The column of numbers is very wide and it bothers me. I want to open more workspaces. Therefore, I want it to be narrow. How to do it?

I am using PHPStorm Version 2017.1.4. In this version, it is possible to hide the gutter icons, which reduces the column width of the row number. Even if there are no gutter icons on the screen, space is still highlighted. If you do not need these icons, you can hide them in the settings, and the column width will be reduced.

Go to Settings to: Editor> General> Gutter Icons
Uncheck: "Show gutter icons"

This seems impossible, because this place is used by other PHPStorm functions. Other StakOverflow questions are about disabling this other feature at this point, but that is also not possible.

We have nothing to do in this place of PHPStorm. Use or lack of functionality.
