DockerFile: difference between ADD and COPY

Question

In accordance with this, the following link https://docs.docker.com/engine/reference/builder/#copy I do not see the difference between ADD and COPY. Please help me with a simple example explaining the difference.

• If the <src> parameter for ADD is an archive in a recognized compression format, it will be unpacked
