If you look in the settings of Visual Studio 2015 under

Tools Options Projects and Solutions Layout of Custom Project Templates

You can see where Visual Studio is looking for templates. Our documents are listed for the most common locations, but may be unique on your computer.

Mine did not work, it turned out that it was on my \\ network \ redirected roaming \ mydocs \ username \ Visual Studio 2015 \ Templates \ ProjectTemplates \ Visual C #

If you have roaming documents, it will save not C: \ users \ to the network

here is a good document and all the steps in one go! How to set the structure of Microsoft Bot: 1. Download the bot template from Microsoft sdk https://docs.botframework.com/en-us/csharp/builder/sdkreference/gettingstarted.html 2. Follow the instructions to install the visual studio template in a common place for example,% USERPROFILE% \ Documents \ Visual Studio 2015 \ Templates \ ProjectTemplates \ Visual C # \ 3. Launch the visual studio and see if it is displayed in the templates in Visual C # 4. If this does not happen, follow these steps. 4.1. Open visual studo => Tools β†’ Options β†’ Projects and Solutions 4.2. Go to user template 4.3. Right click on zip -> Properties -> unblocking, check the box. 4.4. Close the visual studio if you open it and open the visual studio again

Same problem, but my% USERPROFILE% \ Documents folder is on my D: drive. I had to install the zip template in the equivalent path on my C drive: before it appears in Visual Studio.

If you have one drive configured, it will be in the folder with one drive. "C: \ Users \\ OneDrive \ Documents \ Visual Studio 2015 \ Templates \ ProjectTemplates" Try it!
