Are there any open source tools for RPA (Robotic Process Automation)

We want to create RPA software.

Definition of RPA: A software “robot” is a software application that replicates the actions of a person interacting with the user interface of a computer system.

I have been looking for open source RPA software for several days.

Are there any open source tools for RPA? I know some commercial programs, such as "BluePrism", "OpenSpan", etc.

Not quite open, but free nonetheless. UiPath is also a player in the RPA space, and they have a community for people / nonprofits, etc .... http://www.uipath.com/community

You can also use Python to create your own automation applications. I am looking at this now: https://automatetheboringstuff.com/
