Android Color CheckBoxPreference

Question

How to change CheckBoxPreference checkbox color? I do not specify a topic attribute. I also set the theme in the manifest, but it doesn’t display with the accent color, and the default color is used instead.

manifest:

Create a theme for your customization, add these options to the style:

<style name="AppTheme.NoActionBar.SettingActivity" parent="AppTheme.NoActionBar"> <!--when the check box is checked --!>
<item name="colorControlNormal">@color/your-color</item> <!--when the check box is unchecked --!>
<item name="colorControlActivated">@color/your-color</item> </style>

I decided to assign the right colors in my styles. xml

  <item name="android:colorAccent" tools:targetApi="21">@color/arrows</item> <item name="colorAccent">@color/arrows</item> 

And using custom xml for the checkbox inside the layout file PreferenceActivity (settings.xml in my case).

Using ColorPrimary instead of colorAccent.
