FireBase Cloud Messaging not working

I am trying to use FireBase Cloud Messaging. I receive a token, but do not receive any notifications from the console. Here is my manifest:

And my code is almost the same as from the sample:

I checked the question here Firebase Cloud Message Notification, which is not received by the device but still does not work.

Try sending a message using the api utility call. It will provide you with a response code and a json response, which can help you get the cause of FCM inoperability.

You need to change the service with the full package name, as shown below,

 <service android:name="your.package.name.TokenService"> <intent-filter> <action android:name="com.google.firebase.INSTANCE_ID_EVENT"/> </intent-filter> </service> <service android:name="your.package.name.NotificationService"> <intent-filter> <action android:name="com.google.firebase.MESSAGING_EVENT"/> </intent-filter> </service>
