The right way to hide / show columns on a DBGrid

I am starting a new database project where I have several tables and maybe 20 columns to show in DBGrid in general, but I know that it is not possible to show all 20 columns in a Grid, as this will take up too much space. I need a parameter that the user can configure which columns to show or hide. What would be an easy and right solution for this? other decisions will also be made.

thanks everyone for any help.

There are 2 ways.

the first. You are using automatically generated dbgrid columns. this means that you are not creating the columns manually, in which case you can change the Visible property for the corresponding field in the base table.

2 tbsp. The columns in your DBGrid were manually created by you, and you can change the Visible property for the TDbGridColumn itself.
