Razor intellisense for @model does not work in ASP.NET Core 1.0

I am following this tutorial from ASP.NET and when I try to add @model MovieGenreViewModel to the top of Index.chtml, look at the intellisense readings and show MovieGenreViewModel as shown in the picture below. But when I click [or double-click] on it, the VS editor displays only the first two letters that I manually type. It does not print (in full) the word MovieGenreViewModel. I am using the latest version of ASP.NET Core 1.0 and VS2015-Update3
