What is the character limit for message text in a Firebase-based alert?

I use the Firebase console to send notifications to my phone, the notification was successfully delivered to my phone, but I want to know what is the character limit for the message text in the Firebase-based notification?

Fire Base uses GCM for messaging. Based on the following links

  • GCM size limit = 2KB ( here )
  • From the size limit of the documentation for FIrebase = 4KB ( here )

In any case, if we are considering a payload size of 2 KB. It will have about 2000 characters.

Remember to keep the message size as low as possible.

UPDATE

The console will allow a maximum of 1024 characters
