Loading Attributes in Safari Browser

I was running a project and I had a problem with the download attribute: I found that it is not supported by the Safari browser (according to the documentation).

Here is a snippet:

 <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> </head> <body> <a href="http://cdn.sstatic.net/Sites/stackoverflow/img/ apple-touch-icon@2.png ?v=73d79a89bded&a" download>Press to Download</a> </body> </html>

I was looking for a way to do this with pure Javascript or Angular , but I did not find anything. It would be great if someone had a solution.
