We use Firebase cloud messaging. Sometimes, when the Android or iOS application is in sleep mode, the cell phone receives the same (duplicate) notifications. To identify the device, the FIRInstanceID token is used. An external server on node.js is used to send notifications to the Firebase service. There are no duplicates in our server log file.
