Report an error noted on the RFC in the IETF

Question

I noticed an error in the RFC, and I would like to report this error and hopefully see the patches released.

Does anyone know how to officially report an error to the IETF Working Group. Is there any kind of error / typo tracking in the IETF?

I tried to send an email to the author of the RFC, but I did not receive any reply, and I am not sure that my email was taken into account.

You may report an error:

The RFC Editor database contains a list of errors for each RFC. To look for errors in a specific RFC or report new errors, please visit the RFC Editor Correction Page page .
