How to disable automatic updates in ionic-cli 3.30?

I need to stop the Ionic CLI from checking for updates when I run the ion command. This prevents me from even launching the application offline. Example:

C:\Users\TO-004\Desktop\EzyMarketplace\EzyExtension-App-2017-master>ionic serve ? The Ionic CLI has an update available (3.3.0 => 3.4.0)! Would you like to install it? (Y/n)

Ionic seems to be comparing the release date with "lastCommand "'s timestamp ~/.ionic/config.json. If this date is later than the release date, it will not ask you a question.

Just change the timestamp to a future date, not an ideal solution, but it works.

In 3.5.0, you can disable the CLI interactive mode or by using the flag --no-interactiveor manually via cliFlags.interactiveup falseto ~/.ionic/config.json.
