Gradle kotlin Unsupported Dependencies.getAtoms () method

Question

Just started a new Android project using Studio 3.0 Canary 3 using kotlin, and just tried to get it to gradle synchronize the project. Currently in error

Error:Unsupported method: Dependencies.getAtoms().
The version of Gradle you connect to does not support that method.
To resolve the problem you can change/upgrade the target version of Gradle you connect to.
Alternatively, you can ignore this exception and read other information from the model.

Does anyone know what this means and how to get around it?

Maybe you just need to change the version of something.

I just managed to fix it by upgrading to Android Studio 3.0 Canary 4 .
