What is the "era" in keras.models.Model.fit?

What is an "era" in keras.models.Model.fit? Is this one gradient update? If this is more than one gradient update, then what determines the era?

Suppose I feed my parties before fit. I would consider the "era" the completion of the processing of the entire set of workouts (is this correct)? Then how to manage ceramics for this path? Can I set batch_sizeequal to xboth ysize and epochs1?
