Permission to receive after rejection denied "cannot create file"

Just got gitoliteinstalled on my web server, and I'm trying to get a hook post-receivethat can point git dirin the direction of apache.

This is what my hook looks like post-receive. Got this script from Using Git to manage a website .

#!/bin/sh
echo "post-receive example.com triggered"
GIT_WORK_TREE=/srv/sites/example.com/public git checkout -f

I also tried:

unset GIT_INDEX_FILE
export GIT_WORK_TREE=/srv/sites/example.com/public
export GIT_DIR=/home/git/repositories/example.com.git
git checkout -f

This is the error response that I am returning from git push origin masterfrom my local workstation. These are files from my repository.

remote: error: unable to create file .htaccess (Permission denied)
remote: error: unable to create file .tm_sync.config (Permission denied)
remote: fatal: cannot create directory at 'application': Permission denied

Standalone script error

Here's how I got started:

post-receive :

sudo sh /usr/local/sbin/prgetsimpleappscom

sudoers visudo

git ALL = (root) NOPASSWD: /usr/local/sbin/prgetsimpleappscom
git ALL = (root) NOPASSWD: /bin/sh
git ALL = (root) NOPASSWD: /bin/sh /usr/local/sbin/prgetsimpleappscom

visudo

git@vannevar:~$ sudo -l
