I have an application that I "inherited" for support.
Since the iOS 11 update, on two separate iPad (iPad Air and iPad 5th generation), I have a problem. Both devices are running iOS 11.0.2.
When the application is installed and launched for the first time, the application icon is displayed in the Recent Applications section of the dock, but the icon is unavailable and cannot be used (it can be dragged and dropped, clicking does nothing). For any subsequent launch of applications, the dock icon remains unchanged if there is no process due to which the application icon leaves the Recent Applications section (opening several other applications or dragging the icon to the left side of the dock), and then the icon is no longer grayed out and it becomes displayed. It looks the same as if the icon was pressed, but it is constantly in that pressed state (it does not cause a long press event).
The problem occurs when the application is installed from the App Store, Xcode (debugging session) or Crashlytics. It appears again after uninstalling the application and reinstalling it, even if the dock icon was “fixed” during the previous installation.
The application icon for the home screen is excellent (not gray and can be used).

What could be causing the problem? Or is it an iOS 11 bug?
Edit 1: This problem does not occur in the iOS11.0 simulator.
Edit 2: Upgrading iPad (5th generation) to iOS 11.0.3 did not resolve the issue.
