Visual Studio Immediate Window - Lambda expressions not allowed - is there a work or an alternative?

I am debugging some kind of complex generic list-based code in VS 2010 - a lot of hierarchy processing, etc. Of course, lambda expressions and anonymous methods are not allowed in the immediate events window, and I cannot do the steps through the code in the usual way, as I am still trying to circle around the hierarchy ...

Can anyone suggest a workaround or an alternative tool?

At such times, I always turn to the most excellent LINQPad .

The front page of the linked site (at the time of writing) immediately jumps with material about SQL, but do not let this obscure how powerful and flexible this tool really is. I kind of treat him like an Immediate window on steroids. I find it invaluable for dealing with complex LINQ queries.

If you can live without intellisense, it's free (the intellisense version is paid).
