Fiddler makes web browsing very slow

While Fiddler is working fine for me, it seems to make browsing very slow. Opening this site took about ten seconds with the launch of Fiddler. If I close it, it will load almost immediately.

I was wondering if this should be the case with Fiddler, or if there is an option or setting that I have to change to speed things up.

You did not indicate which browser you are using. I assume you are probably using Chrome. Apparently they have a bug that is reported by several users (which most people never see). Apparently, the workaround is to turn off the “DNS Prefetch” option, which is incorrectly marked because the problem has nothing to do with DNS Prefetch (which is disabled in any case behind the proxy server).
