Based on the background of the Mac, I never spent much time assembling / assembling / setting up my own computer, with the exception of periodic OS updates and replacing hard drives. I feel that I am well versed in how the computer works at a conceptual level, on the processor, on the bus, in memory, etc., but I have no practical experience in collecting / disassembling all this.
My question is, is there anything you can get in terms of software development skills by learning how to build my own computer? If you spent your whole life collecting a bit of hardware, how did that affect the way you write or think about software?
You will not learn much useful for a programmer who builds a computer. Knowing where to put pci boards and how to connect the processor is not very useful for anything other than creating computers.
It seems to me that you need to know a little about how computers work, but everything that is interesting for programmers is already soldered to the motherboard. You will learn a lot more from c programming or assembly, and perhaps you are reading a book by Charles Petzold ...

You will not learn anything as a programmer from building a PC. I can use the toilet just fine without installing a sewage system.
