I will never understand why the SE network insists that every useless question must exist forever.
This is more than search help than search help. If you see a large or bold tag in the tag cloud that interests you, this will lead to some discovery of knowledge that would not otherwise have been sought with an intentional search. When I browse del.ico.us or stackoverflow, I appreciate the tags, as they sometimes force me to open related topics.
