Is there a way to inherit an existing TLD definition for a specific JSP tag?

I plan to extend the main html input tag provided by Spring to include more features. I also did a similar exercise in the past for the Struts. At this point, I had to create a tld file with the attributes I entered, plus all the attributes available in the parent tag.

This is a bit tedious and repetitive, so the question is, do you still need to inherit the existing TLD definition for a specific JSP tag?

Or any shortcut?

I do not think that there is an option to inherit the definition of TLD.
