I have an iPhone application that hides the status bar. However, my main view does not receive any sensory events when I touch the state area. Is there something I can do to fix this?
Here are some details of my application setup (in case it matters):
- This is an application based on OpenGL.
- The application starts in landscape mode. However, there are no touch events when I touch the area near the “upper” area of portrait mode. (In other words, I don't get touch events on the left edge when I have a device in landscape orientation.)
- My info.plist has UIStatusBarHidden set true, and in my application applicationidDidFinishLaunching I have "application.statusBarHidden = YES;"
- In the main view, exclusiveTouch is set to YES.
- The view relates to the Began: withEvent method is called when I click elsewhere on the screen.
- My gaze is perfectly drawn in the state area.
(Please refrain from whining about the NDA. Thank you.)
Update: It turns out that this problem only appears on the iPhone Simulator. When the application launches on a real iPhone, touches are found everywhere.
I'm still curious to know if there is a way to make it work on the simulator, but that doesn't really matter.
