What is the best process / application for automatically deploying PHP applications?

There is another article about SO related to .NET - not for us. Pure PHP. Trying to find the best way / process to deploy a stable version of our PHP application. I saw an article about Capistrano , but curious what else is there. Besides the obvious reasons, I also want to add some scripts so that the version number is added there

I have long used a home script. It will (based on the application configuration file):

• Run svn exportin the repository based on the tag.
• An export package to a tar or zip file that includes a tag in the name.
