How to make unit testing beautiful after the first test

Is there a way to make the junit test run to stop after a failed test?

Yes ... this ability (or lack thereof) is built into various TestRunners (Console, AWT, Swing, Ant, Maven or built-in to Eclipse, etc.). You will need to find this control in the documentation for the specific platform that you are using.

I know that in Ant, the junit task has the "haltonerror" and "haltonfailure" options that control this behavior.
