In Google Chrome, I can provide the command line argument --user-data-dir = "..." so that Chrome uses a different directory for the state, such as cookies, cache, etc. This allows you to trivially load web pages from a "new" browser and simulate several independent users.
How can I do the same with Internet Explorer (6, 7 or 8)?
Change . It looks like IE always uses the current user profile, so you need to configure several users on the system and switch between them. Such a pain.
One suggestion I can submit is to create several user accounts in the field, and then create shortcuts for Internet Explorer using the RunAs command or use the "Run as ... context menu .
