PostbackUrl vs NavigateUrl

Can someone tell me the different between LinkButton.PostBackUrl and HyperLink.NavigateUrl? I have an asp.net 2.0 application that uses both methods throughout the application and everything works fine. However, if I connect to the application through vpn, all links that use LinkButton.PostBackUrl give me (54) a reset connection by peer error, and HyperLink.NavigateUrl works fine. I want to know the main difference between the commands, so I can try to figure out what is blocking the vpn software causing the reset connection to fail with a peer error.

NavigateURL: sends a Get request to the URL (as if you typed it in your browser)

PostBackURL: sends a "Post" request containing information from the form to the specified URL; I do not think this is commonly used

PostBackURL for linkbutton tells you in what form the button sends the data. (more details )

NavigateURL for Hyperlink tells you which control receives the link from the server.
