Are there any good implementations of J2EE value handler templates?

Is there a good list of value handlers ?

I found a valuelist , but it seems to stagnate ... also, I really need good control over the links that taglib generates, because I need to call some JavaScript from it.

I am currently solving it by rewriting taglib in freemarker and using the valuelist backend.

Does anyone know a better way?
