There are many usability assessment methods that have been developed over the history of software development. But it seems to me that they are rarely used in practice.
Why are practically no tools and methods for evaluating usability?
Or are they used more than they believed me?
They are rare, HCI is a special area in IT. I know almost nothing about this, but my friend was an HCI engineer, and she could read reviews on the topic, show websites, groups, scientific articles, etc.
HCI is still an area that (undeservedly) receives little attention, probably because it is seen as less important for the software business β compressed software is sold for marketing claims and not for actual use, so there is little incentive to people who pay for developing software to pay for HCI too.
