Using asp.net membership with sqlite or another provider?

Does anyone have examples of using Sqlite with ASP.NET membership? I am creating a small drop-in web application and do not want to rely on an SQL database to store user credentials, etc. Sqlite seems like a good option, and I was impressed with its performance at Elmah ; I would not mind using xml as a data warehouse.

In another note, is asp.net membership perhaps not a good choice for basic level protection? The application will not require more than a few users for those who implement it, and currently I do not see the need for roles. My thought of using asp.net membership is easy to set up and run; why create a security class if I don’t need it, right?

Any other suggestion is certainly welcome; thank you for your time.

I am also a big fan of SQLlite. I would say asp.net membership is good enough for basic stuff.

Peter at Eggheadcafe has this correct article on sqllite, check this out. Article
