SQL character concatenation (without using CONCAT () or +)

Question

I am trying to combine 3 fields [char (32)]:

title1
title2
title3

in one field, but the catch is that I am using an older version of SQL and DOES NOT support the CONCAT () routine or the + operator

for example:
CONCAT (title1, title2, title3)
(title1 + title2 + title3)

DO NOT WORK !!!!

Is there another way?
