Why can I see my site even if it works?

I wonder if anyone knows how this happens? My site does not work, but every computer on my internet connection / router can see it. I cleared my cache, etc., but another computer in the house should not see a site that is offline. How strange?

It is hosted remotely, and not on my network or anything else.

Do you know the IP address of your web server? Do you have direct Internet access on port 80?

Notify if your server is up or down by doing the following

telnet 255.255.255.255 80

Where 255.255.255.255 is your IP address for your web server. In windows, the screen will be blank if the server responds. Then enter

GET / HTTP/1.0

GET / HTTP/1.1
Host: www.yourservername.com

I know this because I asked my friends in other places to look at this. then I checked the test using this site that I found.

I am switching hosts, and we are dealing with my primary domain name. which is another reason I was expecting this break. I just want to know when he will finally switch.

Is ISP Cache Bad?
