Is Google anti-flash?

Question

Google doesn't seem to look like Flash content in any other way than writing text directly in the Flash IDE to export statically into a SWF movie.

What does it mean that any text drawn by ActionScript in a TextField is not indexed?

Starting with the Webmaster Guide , they recommend:

• " Avoid hidden text " - prevention of hidden non-script HTML text for SEO
• " Do not use masking or hidden redirects " - preventing redirecting HTML pages to Flash
• “ Avoid Search Engine-Only Doorway Pages ” - Prevent an alternative HTML website with all automatic page redirection via JavaScript to the one specified on the Flash website that supports deep linking.

So, can Flash be used as a site framework in general?

Their web chat client is flash (at least on iGoogle), and I know that they use it in several other places.

I agree with the author of the posts. Flash looks amazing, but not very functional. I am a Wordpress designer and I need to cancel it. I even have a little on my own site, but due to the fact that the entire WHOLE site has been reissued from it. Try to keep it in the header or portfolio. Good article.
