Where can I find critical analysis of OpenSource projects?
that is: in-depth analysis of methods within the source, comparing projects with others and performance indicators ...
I would like to read something about existing projects that will give me an overview of its design, implementation, strengths and weaknesses, so I can choose something to take part. Hopefully there will be more than one analyst in criticism.
Ohloh will provide you with some information, but only what can be considered a machine from the source code repository data, that is:

In short: Software can be compared with other software
Projects cannot be compared with other projects . And do it poorly informed. What is considered the right method for some is often considered by others to be wrong.
