Is your QA team effective? I find that many of the QA people I came across are testing more experts and software experts.
What I mean by checks is that they go through all the provided scripts, basically going through the application and ensuring that it does what it should.
What I mean by switches is verification, but they are also diligently looking for scripts that violate software and detect defects.
