Repair missing AssemblyInfo.cs in VS 2005

I am trying to create a small VS 2005 solution that I just checked from source control and it becomes easier for me to understand the error:

... \ AssemblyInfo.cs 'cannot be ("The system cannot find the file specified.') (The file is quite obviously missing)

Since this file is automatically generated, I never paid attention to it, and in VS 2003 (which I still work day after day - I pity me), it does not seem to matter if it is missing.

So, 2 questions: 1. How can I get VS 2005 to restore the file. 2. Can someone explain to me in a few sentences what the asset information file is, why it is generated, why it is a good idea to have an automatically generated file that is critical to my decision building, etc. Etc.

Thanks - Andrey.

Edit: Well, I have a few more options for googling, and it is probably important that this is in the Nunit Test project.

Update: removing the link in the solution explorer suggested by Alex did the trick and the project is now building, but I'm not quite happy with this solution. If the file is so unimportant, why is it generated first? And if the file performs a vital task, what did I skip by simply deleting it?
