We write software as utility solutions using ASP.NET and C #.
Sometimes the client may have a problem due to a specific setting / nuance of the browser. Or what are they behind an unknown proxy server. They can also report problems that are actually related to localized bandwidth problems.
We are trying to put together a test page that performs a series of checks, such as
- Browser Type / Version
- Screen resolution
- Bandwidth Estimation
- Is javascript enabled?
- Are they behind the proxy server.
- Http Compression Enabled / Disabled
Can anyone suggest any examples of how to perform these checks, as well as any other checks that would be useful to create?
We strive to send users to this page when they have problems, so they can send us as much detailed information as possible to help identify the underlying problem.
Thanks!
