Our team is currently browsing our toolkit and looking for new bug / problem tracking software in addition to version control and project management software.
To track problems, we looked at bugzilla, fogbugz, bugtracker.net, sourcegear fortres, and bugnet.
I am not happy with the list we came up with, so I know what others are using.
We are looking for Active Directory integration for security, although we agree to a Windows application, it is possible that a web interface may be preferred, as well as integration with visual studio. We need to prioritize the defects, mark the version in which the defect was detected, mark the version in which the defect was fixed, and, hopefully, will maintain a discussion around each problem / defect. We would also like to classify items as defect, request for improvement, etc. And document workarounds for defects.
