Windows FORMS for Intranet instead of Web Based

Question

Can we fully deploy an intranet application at the enterprise level with WinForms instead of browser-based web applications? What are the pros and cons and which are preferable to others?

Some things in my opinion:

Winforms pros

• Rich user interface.
• More responsive
• It is usually easier to create interactive processes.

Web Application Benefits

• Centralized service (easy to update, ...)
• Centralized data access protection
• Easier access over the Internet and on the go
• It does not rely on anything other than a browser on the client (therefore, the client platform does not matter)
