What is a good way to share source code among 3-4 developers who DO NOT require it to be open source?

I am a beginner developer and am creating an application with three other remote developers. So far I have only worked one, and now I need a way to share my source code with other developers of the project. All project sites (SourceForge, Codeplex, Google, etc.) seem to be aimed at developing Open Source. I'm not interested in our code being available to the world, I'm just looking for a way to share code among the four of us. What is the best known method ... or how is it usually done?

Yes, you need a version control repository that is accessible remotely. Subversion is excellent and very widely used; Git is another good option.

You can configure your own repository - you need a server that all developers can access through ssh or through Apache / WebDAV, or use a hosted service, such as Beanstalk , Project Locker , Unfuddle , SVNsite , etc.

Just use devunity.com. download your code via zip or import it from svn and that is it. Allows you to instantly interact with the code.
