Question
As already mentioned, do you have any tips to help describe programming languages with grok / understand / get-your-head-around?
Or is it just the case when you have to immerse yourself in the language and its syntax, until it leaks out, until you get that golden moment when you Get It . This is really not an option, because I can no longer lock myself in the room for days, browsing more than half a dozen different books on the subject (duties are what they are and all)
So, any tips or tricks that helped you when you were doing declarative languages, skip any ideas?

Background
I was 13 years old when I first started to click on the code (the main one, on my Oric-1 sisters ).
Since then, Ive worked with many new concepts and many different languages, doing everything in my power, I quickly get the upper hand. Object Orientation? Do not worry. Event driven paradigms? Smoke me, tailbone, I'll be back for breakfast.
Owl, Mfc, ActiveX, Vb3, 4, 5 and 6, VB.Net, Pascal, Delphi, C, C ++ and C #. No one stood in my way, at least not very long.
Recently, however, my ideal result has been a little beaten.
