Network status detection (connected - disconnected) in C #

I need a piece of code that can determine if a network connection is connected or disconnected. A connected state will indicate that the cable is connected to an Ethernet connection. A disconnected state means that the cable is not connected.

I cannot use the WMI interface because I work in Windows CE. I do not mind calling the Win32 API, but I remember that I use Windows CE and work on the Compact Framework.

It sounds like you already understood this because you defined the connection as meaning "the cable is connected to the Ethernet connection", but it repeats.
