Change the target device from the mobile 5 window to WM6 Professional Visual Studio 2008

VS 2008

I developed a device application that runs on Windows Mobile 5.

However, I am wondering if I can now change this and deploy my application using mobile device 6 as the target device.

In the visual studio, I press the start button, and it only appears using windowed mobile devices 5.

I also selected my project and clicked the drop-down list to change the target device. However, only Windows mobile devices are displayed.

Also in the "Device Settings" section, I changed this to Windows Mobile 6. However, when I try to deploy, I always get Windows Mobile 5.

I remember that you can change the target device from mobile 5 to 6. However, I just can’t remember how I did it in the past.

Just right-click on your project and select "Change Target Platform." A window will appear allowing you to select the desired platform.

Most of the built-in applications compiled for Windows Mobile 5 will deploy and run without problems on devices and emulators of Windows Mobile 6. Just substitute your device or WM6 emulator, select Pocket PC Device for Windows Mobile 5.0 from the drop-down list, then expand the application.
