He was a developer of LAMP for many years, now he switched to Microsoft Web Stack. Where do I start?

I always worked with the standard Linux web stack (linux, apache, php, python, mysql), but they were given a great opportunity to work with a group that works with Microsoft Web Stack (IIS, ASP.NET, MSSQL, C # )

Microsoft seems to be very good here, next here. Where to begin? Special books, tutorials, online resources are appreciated.

ASP.NET MVC will probably be more familiar to you than ASP.NET WebForms. And frankly, I think that most pro-stores will move to it over the next 5 years.
