Does IE8 work in quirks mode like IE6 / 7?
I have a webpage with some really bizarre code. Content is centered with indentation and negative margins.
It works correctly in IE6 / 7 and other browsers, but in IE8 the content area is half width and not centered (flag for quirks mode).
The source code has three empty lines before the DOCTYPE. I know this will move IE6 to quirks mode. Will it also affect IE8?
I do not have access to the source, so I can not delete these lines to check it.
