How can I get Visual Studio 2005 to work on Windows 7?

Question

Protecting a Vista user account caused problems with Visual Studio 2005, and Microsoft accessed it using an update for Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista. I had similar problems with VS2005 in Windows 7, but I can not find any information from Microsoft, directly referring to this. Should I just install Vista Service Pack on Windows 7?

The update for Visual Studio 2005 Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Windows Vista works fine in Windows 7. (At least this is what I used and it did not break for me for development in C ++ or C #.)
