2008 TIGER / Line® Shapefiles from Census.gov & # 8594; Google maps

How to get shapefiles and extract lats / lng coordinates so that I can display polygons on Google Maps?

It depends on how you need it. If you just need several shapes, you can find the coordinates in these files yourself. You can use these coordinates to create GPolygon in Google Maps.

I was lucky using the ARC files at http://www.census.gov/geo/www/cob/index.html I cannot find the webpage right now, but I found the one that had the actual code. Google is something like "arc to kml" and from there.
