Cocoa Application: how to distribute beta versions?

Until today, I have developed and tested all versions of my application myself! I would like to start releasing some versions of the beta tester in order to have the best product for release! But I really don't know how to do this!

I decided to download the beta version on my website in a password-protected folder and sent my testers a notification (via email) of the availability of the new beta version.

Or upload the beta to a restricted area of my website and send my tester a dynamic link (with expiration) to a new available beta.

Is this a good way, or can I do it better?

Thanks in advance for your answers!

EDIT

I already have a beta tester, I'm not looking for a new one! I only ask for how to send my beta to my tester!

EDIT 2

The app I want to send to my testers is the MAC OS X app, not the iPhone OS app! Otherwise, I would like to distribute the application (only for my beta testers) in a safe way ... so I can not use software update frameworks like Sparkle!

UPDATE:

Then there are 2 applications. One for ordinary users. Another for testers.

SECOND RESPONSE:

So, you already have testers, and this is cocoa. You can then use Sparkle to distribute updates to your application.
