Learn C ++ to better understand the examples in the book, know C and Java already

I need to read Shaffer's Practical Introduction to Data Structures and Analysis of Algorithms for the class, but the code examples in the book are all in C ++, which I don’t know. I already know C and Java and was wondering if you know any resources that would help you learn enough C ++ to quickly understand these examples if you already know another language. Thanks!

Another free C ++ Annotations tutorial from Frank B. Brokken. You can view it online, or you can download the pdf version .

I am surprised that no one has mentioned Accelerated C ++ yet . It is not based on your existing knowledge of C (or Java), but it will teach you the language as it stands alone.

I found "C ++" Till Yeske, 2002, ISBN 0-201-75879-2 very well. It is not a killer of pets, only 1.25 thickness, and is well written enough - concise and accurate. I knew a little C ++, but Exek's book really helped me.
