Call Clojure from R?

Question

Is there a connection between R and Clojure?

I know Incanter , but I am looking for an R-package for Clojure or any future plans in order to call clojure from R.

Clojure compiles to Java bytecode, so you can do what you want with rJava. The slightly ugly part will be figuring out what the method signatures are, since it rJavarequires a method signature in the JNI style.
